International Aspects of Education and Training

The Educational Research Institute (ERI), the Slovenian Educational Research Association (SLODRE) and the Centre of the Republic of Slovenia for Mobility and European Educational and Training Programmes (CMEPIUS) are organizing the 4th Scientific Conference “Research in Education and Training: International Aspects of Education and Training”. The conference, however, does not exclude presentations that address other topics. The conference will be held for two days on Wednesday, September 18th and on Thursday, September 19th, at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ZRC SAZU, Novi trg 2, Ljubljana).
The main goal of the ‘Research in Education and Training’ scientific conference is the dissemination of research results and the exchange of experiences, identification of key issues, challenges and obstacles in education as well as the promotion and development of research in general. This year’s conference among other things aims at highlighting the role and importance of international cooperation in supporting education and training. Nevertheless, the conference remains open to all other approaches, orientations and topics.
It is an honour to announce that this years’ keynote speakers are Paul Stubbs, PhD, (the Institute of Economics, Zagreb, Croatia) and prof. dr. Pavel Zgaga (the Faculty of Education, University of Ljubljana).
The official conference languages are Slovene or English.
The conference fee is:
- 40 EUR if you are planning to attend the conference only for one day (discounted price for students, retired or unemployed is 30 EUR) and
- 70 EUR if you are planning to attend the conference for two days (discounted price for students, retired or unemployed is 50 EUR).
The conference fee includes lunch, coffee and snack during breaks, the book of abstracts and a monograph containing the papers from the last year’s conference.
Travel, accommodation, subsistence and congress fee to the first 20 active non-Slovene participants, who will submit their proposals and whose proposals will be accepted for presentation, will be reimbursed after submission of all the invoices. The selection will be based on ensuring a balance representation across all educational sectors.

Expenses (2-night hotel accommodation, travel and subsistence costs) will be covered (accommodation and subsistence) and reimbursed (travel) to one person per paper. Selected active participants will be notified by the organisers (CMEPIUS) on their selection before May 30th when they will also receive further details on their travel and accommodation arrangements.
