Abstract: Education for ignorance in a knowledge-based economy

Today’s time is based on knowledge. But the question is whether the development of new technologies actually stimulates the desire for new skills and does the wider circle of people really have access to new scientific knowledge? The lecture will first address the issue of knowledge and ignorance in a knowledge-based economy, and then touch the relationship to new technologies. In doing so, it will particularly highlight the problem of ignorance, linked to new forms of psychological manipulation and social surveillance at the time of large data.
