Research Centres

Research centres are independent research units working in close collaboration with one another. Research areas of the Institute include the development of fundamental sciences such as philosophy, pedagogy, sociology, psychology, linguistics, anthropology, and their subdisciplines and interdisciplinary cross-sections, as well as the implementation of fundamental, developmental and applied research work in the aforementioned fields. In addition to the implementation of developmental research projects, the centres are also responsible for:

  • training young researchers;
  • performing pedagogical work;
  • connecting foreign and national institutions and researchers;
  • other tasks.

The research activity of the Institute takes place in the framework of the Programme Team for Educational Research uniting the following research centres/units:
